GREAT FOR FISHING.
Many Bethany Camp Campers do not know about our lake. This body of water is controlled by the Bureau of Reclamation and the County and its purpose is for flood control. If you take a wagon ride at camp you will get the privilege of riding across the dam and viewing this beautiful area. There are a lot of fish in this lake; we have a few canoes that can be used to fish from if you wish to fish somewhere besides from the banks. We also use the land side of the dam as our sledding hill during the winter time.

What to expect
Family Camp guests are welcome to take out our rowboats during their stay, just stop by the office to pick up the required boat plugs before heading out on the water. If fishing is more your speed, you’re welcome to bring your own fishing poles and cast a line either from the boat or the shore!

Fun Facts!

The lake was originally our main swimming area when the camp first moved to this location. However, since water levels there were unpredictable, we eventually dug out the pond and transitioned all swimming activities to there!
