The staff here at Bethany Camp has one goal, they are committed to doing whatever it takes to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those who stay here at Bethany Camp. While we all may have official titles and roles, we firmly believe that we all share each others responsibilities to ensure that we are building an environment for Spiritual Growth & Change.
Greg began his ministry here at Bethany Camp in February of 2004, and has over 25 years experience in camping ministry. Greg graduated with a degree in physical education from Cedarville University, and has a wide range of life experience. Greg has spent time as a camp director, Christian School teacher, a UPS shift manager, and overseeing an onion shipping operation. At Bethany, he oversees the day-to-day operations of the camp, gives guidance for future projects, and implements the vision for the camp. He is a certified lifeguard instructor, has a large amount of knowledge in the area of construction, and food service. Greg enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie, their seven children, golfing, and cheering for his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. Stephanie is our Food Service Director. Whether it be with cooking, cleaning, planning events, making t-shirts, or shopping for the camp, Stephanie is a valuable part of our staff. She is always willing and happy to jump in and bless others.
Tim and Ashley Stairs are excited to be ministering here at Bethany Camp. Tim grew up as a pastors kid and missionary kid. He had the privilege of spending some time in South Africa during High school which had a deep impact on his outlook of life. Ashley grew up in south west Michigan which is where they met in college. They got married on 12/17/2011. God has blessed them with four awesome kids Alistair, Maryjane, Isaiah, and Aubrielle!
Tim has been working in construction and ministry since 2006. The Stairs joined the team here at Bethany Camp in February of 2018. He has a deep passion for discipleship and seeing ministry growth and sharing the gospel. He has an associates of applied science in electrical technology and is currently working on continuing his education through online classes.
Our favorite thing about working in camping ministry is how discipleship fits so well into our everyday work and life. It is awesome to see how God uses a week of camp to change campers lives and what's even more awesome is seeing how God uses the summer to grow the hearts and minds of the summer staff. God changes lives at camp and it is a privilege for us to be a part of it!
Zach & Kayla joined the Bethany Camp staff in June of 2022. Zach grew up in Xenia, OH and graduated from Cedarville University in 2005. His life was changed at a camp in Southern Ohio, where he first sensed God's call to ministry. He was an intern at that same camp and then spent roughly 15 years in the corporate world and education before joining Bethany Camp. As Program Director, he takes responsibility for summer camp scheduling and activities, and coordinates and plans all camp-run retreats. He enjoys sports of all kinds, video games, and watching movies, and is on a quest to watch all the American Film Institute's 100 greatest films.
Kayla grew up in Sturgis, South Dakota, and graduated from Pensacola Christian College, and spent many years in Christian education. She's taken two mission trips to Africa and met Zach through a Facebook group. They were married October 13, 2018. Kayla manages office and bookkeeping duties, and loves music, crafting, cooking, and taking care of their dog, Rory.
Anisha joined the staff at Bethany camp in the fall of 2022. She has been a part of our summer staff off and on since 2013. Anisha grew up in several different states, but has spent notable amounts of time in Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. She attended Cedarville University and graduated with a degree In Health and Physical Education. She is currently on a mission to climb all 46 high peaks in the Adirondacks. So far, she has only climbed 5.
Anisha’s primary role
here at camp is to assist with scheduling, communicating, and planning for all
of our rental groups that we welcome during the fall, winter, and spring
seasons. She also serves as part of the program team, involved in making sure the summer campers and staff have a great time! She is excited to be here at Bethany and play a small part in the
lasting impact that camp ministries have on so many people’s lives.
Wally & Donna Frank are full-time volunteers at Bethany Camp. They have been serving here since 2009 in many different roles. Currently, Wally is the guy that does all the little things behind the scenes. Whether it's running the floor scrubber, cleaning cabins, washing dishes, or making sure the camp is nice & warm, you can always find him serving faithfully with a joyful heart!
Donna is the person who keeps Bethany Camp looking beautiful! She has spent many hours working the flower beds all across the camp. She is also always willing to step in & help with things in the office or make the trek into town to get the supplies we need! We are very thankful for both Wally & Donna's service to this ministry!
