Meet our staff

  • GREG AND STEPHANIE FRANK

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Greg began his ministry here at Bethany Camp in February of 2004, and has over 15 years experience in camping ministry. Greg graduated with a degree in physical education from Cedarville University, and has a wide range of life experience. Greg has spent time as a Christian School teacher, a UPS shift manager, and overseeing an onion growing & shipping operation. At Bethany, he oversees the day-to-day operations of the camp, gives guidance for future projects, and implements the vision for the camp. He is a certified lifeguard instructor, has a large amount of knowledge in the area of construction, and food service. Greg enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie, and their seven children, golfing, and cheering for his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. Stephanie is one of our office volunteers but often helps wherever is necessary. Whether it be with cooking, cleaning, planning events, making t-shirts, or shopping for the camp Stephanie is our go-to volunteer. She is always willing and happy to jump in and bless others.

  • ALYSSA COLE

    FOOD SERVICE DIRECTOR

Alyssa joined our team here at Bethany Camp in August of 2016. Growing up in Sherman, NY she has been no stranger to Bethany Camp. From attending camp throughout childhood with her family to serving several summers here at camp, she has once again found herself here and ready to serve! In addition to her experience with food service, Alyssa has a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education, experience as a lifeguard, refugee relief service, childcare, and organizational tasks. Outside of camp, she enjoys serving alongside her church family through leading worship and a home church. Her versatility makes her someone that can jump into almost any situation and accomplish much. She is full of energy, joy, and compassion for people. Alyssa's tremendous heart for investing in the lives of young people will be sure to guide her in the mentoring of many who serve here at Bethany Camp.

  • JAMES AND SANDY CANTERBURY

    MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR

James joined our staff at Bethany Camp in February of 2009. He has a background in heavy equipment operation, landscaping, and snow removal. James understands first-hand the importance of camp ministry, having started a personal relationship with Jesus Christ at one of our sister camps when he was in his early 30's. James is responsible for the upkeep of the facilities and grounds, and overseas our summer maintenance crew. However, if you ask anyone here he is known best for his servant's heart and great love for the youth that serve here with us at camp. He and his wife, Sandy, enjoy visiting their extended family, NASCAR, and investing into the lives of our summer staff. Sandy is involved in personally loving on and interacting with our many guests here at Bethany Camp. We are blessed to have them on our team!

wally and DONNA FRANK

Every organization has their very own honorary staff members, who although are volunteers give unselfishly of their time and effort for the benefit of the ministry. Bethany Camp is no exception to this scenario. Above are the two permanent volunteer staff members that have blessed our camp and an immeasurable amount of people through their service.

Wally is the ever-handy man who will tackle any task given to him with precision and ease. He is always ready for a new challenge. Whether it's cleaning the cabins or washing the dishes he is willing to handle it. Wally experiential background ranges from owning and operating a successful insurance agency in addition to co-owing an onion packaging plant.

Donna is the camp's Office Manager, in charge of finances, bookkeeping, and any other office details that need taken care of. Her attention to detail and experience with numbers and finances make her the perfect fit for the job! She is even part of our Quirky Hobbies retreat here at camp, enjoying her hobbies of scrapbooking and even spending time with her grandchildren during those times.

We are so grateful for Wally and Donna and their service here with us since 2009.
