2020 Youth Camp Cancellation Notice

With great sadness we make the announcement that we will not be having our youth camp weeks for the summer of 2020.  At this point, the state of NY has not allowed county health departments to issue permits for overnight camps and there is little chance this will happen in time for us to plan and operate.  We are so very disappointed for each of the campers who were looking forward to camp with great anticipation.  Know that we will redouble our efforts to create an even more amazing camp for the summer of 2021.

In the meantime, we have been given hope that family camps will be able to operate with potential modifications.  We are also planning some “A La Carte family camp options during the first three weeks of July.  Look for more information on our website.

For all of those registered for youth camps we are providing three options for all funds that have been paid.

Option 1:  We can roll over your funds paid toward your camper for 2021 or for part of family camp payments for this summer.

Option 2:  We can issue you a refund of all funds including your deposit by check.

Option 3:  You can consider donating some or all your funds to the camp to help us keep operating in what has been a difficult financial time.

Please notify the camp office of your preference.  We will work to honor your requests as soon as possible.

A la Carte Camping, July 5 – 25

During these three weeks we will be offering a camp option for families and friends that is priced per night, per room. Family Camps, July 27 – August 15

We are still moving forward with our regularly scheduled 3 weeks of Family Camp this summer.  There will likely be some changes that need to be made to our program due to government regulations and limited staffing but, we are working hard to make this the best experience possible for our family campers.  If you would like to join us for a week of family camp there are several cabins that are still available.  Please contact the camp office if you are interested in booking a cabin.

Donate Towards New Cabin

The effects of COVID-19 have impacted every individual and organization in this country and Bethany Camp is no exception.  We are extremely thankful for all of the ways that God has provided for us and we continue to trust Him through these uncertain times.  One significant setback that we have experienced is in our capital fund.  We had planned to break ground on a much-needed new cabin this fall that would replace Oak Ridge and Pine Ledge.  These two old cabins were built as a temporary solution 40 years ago and have served generations of campers well but have reached the end of their life.  We are asking that you prayerfully consider giving toward this project.  We know that there are many people under great financial strain during this time but there are also people who have received government stimulus checks who have not lost income during the pandemic.  If you do not have an urgent need for your stimulus money would you consider giving all or part toward this important project.
